DESCRIPTION:The Sandtray Workshop is designed to introduce mental health professionals to the therapeutic use of sandplay as a tool for expression\, exploration\, and healing in the counselling process. This workshop provides participants with an understanding of the theory and practice of sandtray therapy\, where clients use miniature figures and a sandtray to create visual representations of their inner worlds\, emotions\, and life experiences. Attendees will learn how to create a safe and supportive space for clients to engage in this non-verbal form of therapy\, encouraging creativity and self-expression. The workshop covers the basic principles of sandplay\, including how to use the sand and figurines. Participants will gain insights into how sandtray therapy can be applied to various client populations\, including children\, adolescents\, and adults\, and in the exploration of issues such as trauma\, anxiety\, and grief. The session also explores ethical considerations\, including maintaining a non-judgmental stance and respecting the client’s personal process.
